Peshawari Chapli Kabab

Here's a simple recipe to make delicious Chapli Kababs: Ingredients - 500g minced beef or lamb - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs - 1/4 cup finely chopped onion - 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander - 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh cilantro - 2 cloves garlic, minced - 1 tablespoon ginger paste - 1 tablespoon cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon coriander powder - 1 teaspoon garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon red chili powder - Salt, to taste - 1 egg, beaten (for binding) - Vegetable oil, for frying - Lemon wedges, for serving Instructions 1. In a large bowl, combine minced meat, breadcrumbs, onion, coriander, cilantro, garlic, ginger paste, cumin seeds, coriander powder, garam masala powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well. 2. Add the beaten egg to the mixture and mix until everything is well combined. 3. Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. 4. When ready to cook, divide the mixture into 8-10 equal portions. Shape each portion into a round patty, about 1/2 inch thick. 5. Heat a non-stick skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add a few drops of oil to the pan. 6. When the oil is hot, add a few patties to the pan (do not overcrowd). Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until the kababs are golden brown and cooked through. 7. Repeat with the remaining patties. 8. Serve the Chapli Kababs hot with lemon wedges, naan, or rice. Tips - Use a mixture of beef and lamb for a more authentic flavor. - Adjust the amount of chili powder to suit your desired level of spiciness. - Traditionally, Chapli Kababs are cooked on a tava or griddle.
