Beef Paaeya

 A classic Pakistani dish! Here's a simple recipe for Beef Paaeya

*Ingredients*


- 1 kg beef trotters (paya)

- 2 medium onions, chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon ginger paste

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1 teaspoon red chili powder

- Salt, to taste

- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil

- 2 cups water

- Fresh cilantro, for garnish


*Instructions*


1. Clean and wash the beef trotters.

2. Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.

3. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.

4. Add chopped onions and fry until they're translucent.

5. Add garlic, ginger paste, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

6. Add the beef trotters and mix until they're well coated with the spice mixture.

7. Add water and bring the mixture to a boil.

8. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the meat is tender.

9. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with naan or rice.
