Fish Pakora

 A popular Pakistani snack!






  A simple recipe for Fish Pakora in Desi style, along with nutritional information:


*Ingredients*


- 1 pound fish pieces (any white fish works well, such as cod or tilapia)

- 1 cup gram flour (besan)

- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder

- 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder

- 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1/4 teaspoon coriander seeds

- 1/2 cup lemon juice

- 1/4 cup water

- Vegetable oil for frying

- Chopped cilantro for garnish


*Instructions*


1. In a large bowl, mix together gram flour, all-purpose flour, salt, baking soda, red chili powder, garam masala powder, cumin seeds, and coriander seeds.

2. Add lemon juice and water to the bowl and mix until a smooth batter forms.

3. Add the fish pieces to the batter and mix well to coat.

4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

5. When the oil is hot, add the battered fish pieces and fry until golden brown.

6. Remove the pakoras from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

7. Serve hot with chutney or raita.
