Mughalae Deghee Qorma

A classic Mughlai dish fit for royalty! Here's a simple recipe for Deghi Qorma, a rich and flavorful lamb curry: Ingredients - 1 pound lamb or beef, cut into small pieces - 2 medium onions, chopped - 2 cloves garlic, minced - 1 teaspoon grated ginger - 1 teaspoon cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon coriander powder - 1 teaspoon garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon salt - 2 tablespoons ghee or oil - 2 tablespoons yogurt - 2 tablespoons lemon juice - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro - 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional) Instructions 1. Heat 1 tablespoon of ghee or oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle. 2. Add chopped onions and cook until they're lightly browned. 3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan and cook for 1 minute. 4. Add the lamb or beef pieces to the pan and cook until they're browned on all sides. 5. Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan. Mix well. 6. Add 1 cup of water to the pan and bring to a boil. 7. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender. 8. Stir in yogurt, lemon juice, and chopped cilantro. 9. Serve the Deghi Qorma hot, garnished with chopped nuts (if using).
