Pakistani Palak and Beef

 Here's a simple recipe for Pakistani-style Palak Gosht (Spinach and Beef Curry) .

*Ingredients*



- 1 pound beef, cut into small pieces

- 2 cups fresh spinach leaves

- 1 medium onion, chopped

- 2 cloves garlic, minced

- 1 teaspoon ginger paste

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

- Salt, to taste

- 2 tablespoons ghee or oil

- 2 tablespoons butter

- 2 cups water

- Fresh cilantro, for garnish


*Instructions*


1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle.

3. Add chopped onion and sauté until softened.

4. Add minced garlic and ginger paste, and sauté for 1 minute.

5. Add beef pieces and cook until browned.

6. Add coriander powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Mix well.

7. Add fresh spinach leaves and cook until wilted.

8. Add water and bring the mixture to a boil.

9. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the meat is tender.

10. Season with salt to taste.

11. Add butter and mix well.

12. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with naan, rice, or roti.
